Hiring for Urgent Care or ICU Ward.
Provide specialised emergency and critical care nursing to patients with urgent, high-dependency, or intensive care needs. The role involves rapid assessment, emergency intervention, ventilatory support, patient monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities - Perform triage and comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, psychological, and clinical conditions.
- Monitor, document, and evaluate patient status, escalating care promptly when deterioration is identified.
- Deliver safe, patient-centred care and maintain patient comfort throughout treatment.
- Assist clinicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, treatments, CPR, and emergency interventions.
- Manage and troubleshoot monitoring systems, haemodynamic devices, and critical care equipment.
- Administer oxygen therapy, medical gases, humidification, and aerosol treatments.
- Support patients requiring invasive and non-invasive ventilation, including airway device management within competency guidelines.
- Recognise and respond to life-threatening respiratory and critical care conditions.
- Assist with specialised procedures such as bronchoscopy where applicable.
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and continuity of care with internal and external healthcare providers.
- Accompany and provide cardiopulmonary support for critically ill patients during intra-hospital or inter-hospital transfers.
- Communicate care plans and treatment updates to patients and their families where appropriate.
- Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
- Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Emergency) and/or Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Critical Care) is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in Emergency Department, High Dependency (HD), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings.
- Demonstrated competency in emergency and critical care nursing.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in managing critical care monitoring equipment and ventilation support.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and commit to rotating shifts, including weekends.
