Responsibilities:
- Participate in inpatient ward rounds as part of the ENT care team.
- Manage patients with ENT conditions in outpatient clinics under consultant supervision.
- Provide on-call support for ENT inpatients and emergency referrals under appropriate supervision.
- Assist with ENT procedures and surgeries in day surgery and operating theatre settings.
- Escalate complex clinical cases to senior doctors or consultants when required.
- Attend and contribute to educational and training activities for junior doctors.
- Support the teaching of medical students.
- Perform administrative duties, including preparation of medical reports and clinical audit or morbidity review documentation.
- Recognised medical qualification approved by the relevant medical regulatory authority.
- Fully registered medical practitioner in the country of registration.
- Minimum 24 months of postgraduate clinical experience.
- At least 12 months of experience in an Otolaryngology (ENT) department as a Registrar, Resident, Medical Officer, Senior House Officer, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of common otolaryngology conditions, head and neck pathology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Competent in the diagnosis, assessment, treatment, and management of common ENT conditions, including emergencies.
- Proficient in office-based and emergency ENT procedures.
- Experience performing flexible and rigid nasal and laryngeal endoscopy.
- Competent in aural toilet procedures.
- Experience administering intra-tympanic injections.
- Competent in the removal of foreign bodies from the pharynx, nose, and ear.
- Experience in epistaxis management.
- Competent in fine needle aspiration of head and neck lumps.
- Experience in wound care and suturing of head and neck lacerations.
- Competent in nasogastric tube insertion.
- Experience in tracheostomy care and management.
- Competent in incision and drainage of head and neck abscesses.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
