Responsibilities:
- Perform general radiographic examinations and specialised imaging procedures such as mammography, ultrasound, and Bone Mineral Densitometry where qualified.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and welfare throughout all imaging procedures.
- Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and workplace safety protocols, including the ALARA principle.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised diagnostic environment.
- Deliver professional, prompt, and courteous service to patients and internal stakeholders.
- Support the efficient operation of the assigned diagnostic centre.
- Assist in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure service excellence.
- Participate in departmental projects and administrative duties as assigned.
- Work towards achieving the required professional certification within the stipulated timeframe, where applicable.
- Recognised Degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
- Valid R1 Licence issued by the relevant regulatory authority for radiation practices.
- Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
- Experience in mammography and ultrasound is an added advantage.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and coaching skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and participation in quality assurance programmes.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and within required timelines.
- Knowledge of basic programming and advanced applications of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is an added advantage.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems, RIS/PACS, or similar healthcare information systems is an added advantage.
