Responsibilities
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on shop drawings, samples, method statements, and approvals.
- Manage technical discussions and attend project meetings to resolve site and engineering issues.
- Verify site works comply with approved drawings, specifications, authority requirements, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular M&E coordination meetings to align work sequencing and prevent site activity clashes.
- Resolve project-related issues promptly to support construction progress and avoid delays.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and records.
- Support workplace safety requirements, including permit-to-work procedures and compliance activities.
- Coordinate equipment testing, commissioning, and integrated system testing with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare M&E progress reports and other project-related reports required by clients and consultants.
- Review and consolidate operation and maintenance manuals for project handover.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, environmental requirements, occupational safety standards, Green Mark, and buildability requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate risk management measures.
- Develop value engineering initiatives, cost optimization proposals, project schedules, and procurement lead-time plans.
- Minimum 5 years of M&E construction experience.
- Experience with main contractors or M&E contractors.
- Experience managing M&E works for commercial, industrial, mixed-use, or institutional developments.
- Proven experience in M&E installation, coordination, testing, and commissioning.
- Hands-on experience in ACMV, electrical systems, fire protection and alarm systems, sanitary plumbing, gas systems, lifts and escalators, and swimming pool systems.
- Knowledge of authority requirements, technical specifications, and construction quality standards.
- Experience preparing project schedules using Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software.
- Safety certifications recognized by BCA (e.g., BCSS) are an added advantage.
- Green Mark-related qualifications are an added advantage.
