Roles:
- Project Management & Delivery
- Lead the project team to ensure timely project delivery in accordance with the approved schedule.
- Execute projects effectively to achieve customer satisfaction through the continuous implementation of the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle.
- Develop and implement project construction plans covering quality, safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
- Develop and manage the overall master project schedule, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved on time.
- Develop the ISO Quality Plan and OSHA Safety Plan, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
- Identify potential project risks and develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
- Prepare and manage project budgets to ensure effective cost control and financial performance.
- Review and understand project contract conditions, scope, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure proper execution.
- Plan and coordinate site activities, manpower, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage the master construction schedule, quality, and safety requirements while maintaining effective cost control.
- Ensure compliance with relevant authorities’ codes of practice, regulatory requirements, and clients’ internal standards.
- Implement approved installation methods and ensure that all site activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures.
- Identify and implement new, innovative, or more efficient installation methods to improve productivity and reduce project costs.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
- Proactively identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays and disruptions to project progress.
- Ensure all site personnel understand and follow the approved construction plans, work methods, safety requirements, and project objectives.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Establish effective communication channels with customers and all project stakeholders to ensure smooth project coordination.
- Work closely with customers to coordinate site work schedules and project requirements.
- Strengthen negotiation skills and effectively manage discussions with customers, particularly on project variations and commercial matters.
- Negotiate variations, costs, and contractual matters with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Develop strong trust-based relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to support successful project delivery.
- Maintain open and effective communication with customers to address concerns and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Manage and motivate site personnel to achieve project objectives and maintain a positive working environment.
- Identify individual staff strengths and development areas, and provide ongoing guidance to improve their performance.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and training to junior staff to support their professional and technical development.
- Establish clear and effective daily communication processes among site staff to ensure issues and updates are communicated promptly.
- Encourage team members to take ownership of site issues and proactively develop solutions.
- Conduct continuous on-the-job training, coaching, and relevant seminars to enhance the team’s construction, technical, and management capabilities.
- Foster a collaborative team environment where staff are encouraged to communicate openly, raise concerns, and work together to resolve issues.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma with at least 10 years of relevant experience can be considered.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with 5 years of managerial experience
- Strong in technical scope with lab/ clean room experience
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 / 45001 / 14001
- Possess Building construction safety supervisor course
- Meticulous and responsible
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly motivated and proactive
- Strong on overall coordination and implementation of all disciplines.
- Strong in technical scope
- Preference for those from contractor experience.
