Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for analytical instruments, including Particle Size Analyzers, XRF, spectroscopy systems, ICP spectrometers, and related equipment.
- Perform installation, commissioning, calibration, validation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades at customer sites.
- Deliver end-user training to ensure proper operation, maintenance, and optimum instrument performance.
- Prepare service quotations for repairs, maintenance services, labour, and spare parts.
- Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
- Liaise with manufacturers and global technical support teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and regional technical teams to ensure high service standards and customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for service contracts, preventive maintenance agreements, instrument upgrades, and spare parts sales.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Science, Analytical Chemistry, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of service engineering experience in scientific or analytical instrumentation.
- Experience with Particle Size Analyzers, X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), spectroscopy systems, ICP spectrometers, or similar analytical instruments.
- Willingness to travel overseas and support regional customers.
- Own personal vehicle required to attend site meetings.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis capabilities.
- Ability to prepare accurate service reports and technical documentation.
- Experience in installation, calibration, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of scientific instruments is an added advantage.
