Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise pharmacy technicians (prep, labelling, dispensing, delivery)
- Ensure legal/regulatory compliance (incl. controlled drugs)
- Clarify prescriptions; resolve drug-related problems; advise on optimal therapy
- Counsel patients/caregivers (use, interactions, side effects, storage)
- Promote adherence, self-care, and health education
- Provide drug information to professionals and community
- Deliver ambulatory/chronic care; monitor outcomes; refer when needed
- Ensure high standards of customer service
- Ensure proper storage, security, and disposal of medications
- Enforce loss prevention and controlled drug security
- Manage inventory levels; approve orders; meet stock KPIs
- Conduct stock takes, cycle counts, expiry checks, and audits
- Report inventory incidents (e.g., cold chain breaks)
- Orientate new staff; train students and technicians
- Conduct ongoing training; meet education targets
- Support operations, admin, audits, and cash handling compliance
- Prepare reports; maintain records and registries
- Assist manpower scheduling; ensure housekeeping and merchandising
- Monitor retail performance; suggest improvements
- Handle complaints and dispensing errors; report accordingly
- Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and MOH guidelines
- Maintain compliance documentation
- Coach and supervise team; support improvement initiatives
- Perform other assigned duties
Job Requirements
- Degree in Pharmacy
- Registered with Singapore Pharmacy Council; holds Form A licence (HSA)
- Maintain CPD points and attend CME/training regularly
- 3–5 years’ clinical experience
