Responsibilities:
- Coordinate material control activities during planned and unplanned maintenance outages, warranty work, and related projects.
- Expedite material deliveries to ensure site readiness and maintenance schedules are met.
- Liaise with relevant parties to obtain and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, and shipping marks.
- Coordinate customs clearance, freight forwarding, and transportation arrangements for materials imported from overseas to local worksites.
- Oversee receiving, inspection, storage, and handling of materials to ensure inventory integrity and proper condition.
- Develop and maintain systems, processes, and tools for inventory management of spare parts, consumables, hardware, serialized components, and special tools.
- Coordinate warehouse space allocation, laydown areas, and staging requirements for maintenance activities.
- Supervise contractor personnel supporting material control and inventory activities.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare material movement and usage reports.
- Conduct stocktakes and monitor inventory levels of consumables and miscellaneous hardware.
- Ensure timely withdrawal and staging of required materials before and throughout maintenance activities.
- Prepare export control and shipping documentation for temporary overseas repair and inspection of equipment components.
- Set up and maintain temporary site offices during maintenance outages.
- Coordinate onsite administrative requirements, including site access arrangements, transportation, meals, IT equipment, and related logistics for project teams.
- Support customer service initiatives by maintaining positive working relationships and responding effectively to operational needs.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in supply chain logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, material control, maintenance planning, or related functions involving heavy machinery maintenance or overhaul activities.
- Experience in the power generation, oil and gas, process plant, heavy equipment manufacturing, or maintenance service industries is an added advantage.
- Experience coordinating with contractors, warehouse personnel, and customer stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel frequently to power plant sites, including remote locations, and be stationed onsite during maintenance outages when required.
