◆Role Overview:
Our client is a professional services firm supporting companies with accounting, tax, governance, and cross-border business operations across Southeast Asia. Due to business expansion, the team is looking for experienced accounting professionals to support overseas growth initiatives, M&A projects, and advisory engagements. This role offers exposure to regional stakeholders and opportunities to work closely with headquarters and overseas entities on complex accounting and tax matters.
◆Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct accounting and tax due diligence for overseas expansion and M&A projects.
- Provide accounting and tax support for overseas subsidiaries.
- Support the establishment, enhancement, and improvement of internal control frameworks for overseas subsidiaries.
- Coordinate with and prepare reports for headquarters and overseas entities.
- Provide accounting and tax advisory services to clients.
- Support cross-border business operations and related business initiatives.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
[Must Have]
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in an audit firm or accounting firm.
- Practical working knowledge of accounting and taxation.
- Proficiency in Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking) to liaise with Japanese-speaking clients, headquarters, and regional stakeholders.
[Good to Have]
- Experience in overseas, regional, or cross-border engagements.
- Professional qualifications such as Japanese CPA, US CPA, Certified Public Accountant, or Certified Tax Accountant.
- Exposure to overseas expansion, M&A due diligence, and cross-border advisory projects.
- Opportunities to work closely with regional entities and headquarters across Southeast Asia.
- Professional development in accounting, tax, governance, and international business support engagements.
