Responsibilities:
- Perform accounting and tax due diligence for overseas expansion and merger & acquisition (M&A) projects.
- Provide accounting and tax support to overseas subsidiaries and related entities.
- Support the design, implementation, and enhancement of internal control frameworks for overseas operations.
- Coordinate with headquarters and overseas entities on accounting, tax, and governance matters.
- Prepare reports and communicate project updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide accounting and tax advisory services to clients.
- Support various cross-border business and corporate support projects as required.
- Undertake additional responsibilities based on experience and business needs.
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in an audit firm, accounting firm, or related professional services environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of accounting and taxation principles.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in overseas, regional, or cross-border engagements is an added advantage.
- Professional qualifications such as Japanese CPA, US CPA, Certified Tax Accountant, or equivalent are an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
