Job Summary:
The Small Business Clients segment in Business Banking (“BB”) aims to support companies with turnover of up to US$15m in Singapore by providing a comprehensive suite of financing solutions. As a Business Development Manager, you will actively acquire New-to-Bank (NTB) clients, cross-sell the full BB product suite to exceed quarterly sales targets, support team members where required, and deliver exceptional service that consistently earns positive client feedback.
Responsibilities
- Acquire new-to-bank business clients and achieve quarterly sales and revenue targets.
- Cross-sell a full suite of business banking products to deepen client engagement.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and credit underwriting standards.
- Conduct timely follow-ups and respond to customer enquiries within two business days.
- Identify client needs and collaborate with product teams to deliver corporate and personal banking solutions.
- Maintain high service standards to ensure positive client experience.
- Mentor junior team members (for senior-level candidates).
- At least 3 years of experience in business banking, SME banking, or commercial banking.
- Tertiary education qualification.
- Familiarity with customer due diligence processes, including FATCA.
- Understanding of working capital financing products and mortgage financing principles, including TDSR framework.
- Knowledge of competitive market landscape and ability to position products effectively.
- Strong financial and credit analysis skills are an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Mandarin language for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to identify client needs and provide appropriate banking solutions.
