Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct macroeconomic and microeconomic research and forecasts across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
- Identify potential investment targets through deep-dive fundamental analysis
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on macroeconomic data and key economic/political events
- Support business units with research for client needs and internal requirements such as stress tests
- Identify new sectors and asset classes for investment
- Occasional business travel required
- 3–5 years of related experience in the banking industry
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to perform intermediate to advanced data/statistical analysis and econometric modeling
- Competency in creating financial models, cash flow and balance sheet analysis
- Familiarity with Excel macros and Bloomberg
- Strong report writing and data presentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management
- Able to work under pressure in a team environment
