Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate new product introduction activities from design phase through mass production, ensuring project timelines and cost targets are achieved.
- Liaise with customers, engineering, quality, purchasing teams, and suppliers to support successful product launches.
- Drive cost management initiatives through supplier negotiations, cost analysis, and influencing design decisions to optimize product costs.
- Review and negotiate supplier commercial terms and support pricing discussions.
- Collaborate with supplier quality teams on supplier and component qualification processes, including compliance and sustainability requirements.
- Manage last-time-buy activities to minimize supply obsolescence risks.
- Work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop capability, capacity, and business continuity plans.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Lead or support special projects and key business initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Candidates with no prior experience are welcome to apply.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently for customer and supplier visits.
- Experience in procurement of electromechanical components within a medical device manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
