Role Summary
Provide independent assessment and treatment for patients requiring podiatry care using specialised clinical skills. Collaborate with the healthcare team, maintain accurate documentation, and support clinical operations, service development, and staff supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients referred for podiatry treatment independently and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Communicate patient progress with referring doctors and the medical team.
- Maintain accurate patient records, billing, and individual performance statistics.
- Ensure compliance with clinical and service standards.
- Assist in supervising podiatrists within the workgroup and seek clinical support when necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in case conferences.
- Assist with preparation of monthly performance reports and monitoring of key performance indicators (clinical quality, revenue, productivity).
- Support research projects, departmental initiatives, and quality control activities.
- Assist in reviewing and updating clinical protocols and SOPs.
- Support workgroup projects, inventory management, budgeting, and development of new clinical services.
- Assist with training programmes for podiatry students and induction of new staff.
- Contribute to departmental training sessions, educational talks, workshops, and seminars.
- Identify staff training needs and maintain professional knowledge and skills.
- Recognized Degree in Podiatry.
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical specialty preferred.
- Around 4 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, supervisory, and coaching skills.
- Service-oriented, results-driven, and a team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
