Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and customers to understand project requirements, design specifications, and technical objectives.
- Analyse project requirements and contribute to concept development and solution design.
- Design and develop high-precision automation equipment and systems.
- Select suitable mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, sensor, servo, motor, and robotic components.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) using SAP.
- Coordinate with fabrication vendors and component suppliers to support project execution.
- Monitor and report project progress to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance to assembly technicians during equipment assembly, testing, and commissioning.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality teams, to ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in automation equipment design.
- Experience in factory automation is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and sensor component selection.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D and EPDM software.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
