Job Summary:
Drive overseas business growth by expanding logistics operations across ASEAN and Indian markets. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing market entry strategies, building strategic partnerships, and enhancing regional logistics capabilities.
Note:
- Employment will be under a Japan-based entity with secondment to overseas subsidiaries or acquired businesses
- Candidates without direct industry experience may undergo structured training in Japan prior to overseas assignment
- Training duration ranges from approximately 1 to 6 months across multiple locations and functions, with company-covered expenses
- Overseas assignment location and timing will depend on business expansion plans
- Lead overseas business development initiatives across markets such as Thailand, Indonesia, and India
- Expand regional operations leveraging advanced logistics capabilities
- Analyze industry structures, infrastructure, and logistics environments to identify growth opportunities
- Develop and establish new business models, including small-lot logistics solutions
- Conduct market research to support entry and expansion into new markets
- Assess local logistics challenges and evaluate competitive landscapes
- Build and strengthen partnerships with local distributors and strategic partners
- Formulate business strategies to expand market presence across ASEAN and India
- Plan and optimize logistics center operations to improve efficiency and performance
- Manage and oversee cross-border projects to ensure successful execution
- Proven experience working in ASEAN or Indian markets
- Experience in business development, distributor partnership management, or market expansion
- Demonstrated track record in launching new business initiatives and strategy formulation
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
- Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1 or above) required to liaise effectively with Japanese-speaking clients, counterparts, and stakeholders.
- Experience in the logistics industry, preferably in transportation or freight
- Experience in manufacturing with exposure to logistics operations, distribution, or system improvement
- Experience in distributor management or supply chain management
- Exposure to mid-sized companies with hands-on involvement across multiple functions
- Experience supporting or participating in overseas subsidiary setup or business expansion projects
- Overseas business development experience
- Stable employment history
- Flexibility to relocate within ASEAN or India is preferred
