Responsibilities
Oversee daily production operations — covering production planning, supervision, safety, and compliance monitoring. A core responsibility is ensuring produced parts conform to approved design data and are released to airlines and MROs with the appropriate conformity and airworthiness release documentation.
- Manage and control the end-to-end production process, including manufacturing data, machine setup, post-processing, quality assurance, non-conformity handling, part marking, packaging, and release to customers with the required release documentation
- Develop proficiency in the company’s production technology (polymer additive manufacturing) and the associated post-processing of plastic cabin components
- Build strong working knowledge of EASA regulatory requirements of Initial Airworthiness of EASA approved Part 21G production organization
- Ensure production equipment and tooling are maintained and calibrated on schedule, and that raw materials and spares are procured, stored, and accounted for in good time
- Ensure audit follow-ups and corrective actions are completed promptly, in line with the quality and safety management systems
- Within the scope of the relevant aerospace quality certification, lead the engineering work of 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and production of aerospace tooling — including thermoplastic tooling for aircraft engine and wheel applications
- Maintain a professional, courteous manner with all staff, suppliers, and contractors
- Plan and coordinate training for production personnel to support ongoing development in production technology, airworthiness compliance, safety, information security, and other relevant production-organization domains
- At least 2 years in production or manufacturing engineering, including 1 year in a supervisory capacity (e.g. leading teams or shifts)
- Proficient in CAD and MS Excel (familiarity with SolidWorks an is an advantage)
- Familiarity with aerospace quality assurance, including internal audits, non-conformance management, and occurrence reporting
- Previous experience in Part 21 organizations (G or J) will be considered an advantage
- Strong attention to detail when working across multiple documents and data sources
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or a related field
