Responsibilities
Product Design & Development
- Design and develop IC sockets and connector products utilizing machining, stamping, and injection molding components.
- Lead product development from concept design, prototype development, design iteration, through to mass production release.
- Conduct DFM, DFA, and DFMEA at both component and assembly levels.
- Perform tolerance analysis and apply GD&T for high-precision mechanical components.
- Develop 3D models and detailed 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
- Perform mechanical simulations (FEA) using SolidWorks to validate product performance.
- Conduct thermal simulations for both air and liquid cooling solutions.
- Perform high-frequency electromagnetic simulations using Ansys HFSS.
- Collaborate on mechanical, thermal, and electrical co-design for integrated product development.
- Design solutions for high-power, high-current, and high-speed applications.
- Translate customer requirements into detailed engineering specifications.
- Engage in technical discussions with customers to understand requirements and provide engineering solutions.
- Coordinate with toolmakers, machining vendors, molding suppliers, and internal manufacturing teams.
- Support supplier engagement to ensure manufacturability and technical alignment.
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations.
- Implement corrective actions and design improvements to enhance product quality and reliability.
- Manage engineering development projects from initiation to completion.
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure project success.
- Lead engineering teams or projects as a technical lead or engineering manager.
Requirements

- 5 years of relevant experience in IC socket or connector design and development
- Experienced in management experience.
- Experience in high-precision mechanical design
- Proven experience managing product development from concept to mass production
- SolidWorks (3D modeling & 2D drawings)
- Mechanical simulation (FEA) using SolidWorks
- Thermal simulation for cooling solutions
- High-frequency electromagnetic simulation using Ansys HFSS
- Machining, stamping, and injection molding processes
- DFM / DFA / DFMEA methodologies
- Tolerance analysis and GD&T
- Mechanical, thermal, and electrical integration
- Strong technical communication with customers and suppliers
- Ability to translate customer requirements into engineering specifications
- Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
- Experience in project management
- Experience leading engineering teams or cross-functional projects
