Senior Accountant (Group Consolidation / Downtown)

Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with SFRS(I) and IFRS requirements.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements covering the holding company and overseas subsidiaries.
  • Produce full sets of financial statements, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and Statement of Changes in Equity.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly and annual financial reporting packages to headquarters, including accounting conversions and reconciliation adjustments.
  • Conduct financial analysis and present management reports to senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor subsidiary financial performance and ensure accurate consolidation of financial results.
  • Review and validate financial closing packages submitted by overseas entities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee Singapore tax compliance, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), and Withholding Tax (WHT).
  • Manage transfer pricing documentation and support cross-border tax matters in collaboration with external advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, corporate governance requirements, and filing deadlines.
  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support stable business operations.
  • Manage intercompany financing activities, capital structure planning, fund procurement, and dividend distributions.
  • Oversee shared service functions including accounting, payroll administration, and related support services.
  • Administer intercompany service agreements, cost allocation frameworks, and recharging processes.
  • Lead external audit engagements and serve as the key liaison with auditors.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process and oversee day-to-day finance operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
  • Act as the primary liaison between regional operations and headquarters on financial and business matters.
  • Support additional finance, accounting, and corporate projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting & Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Cost Accounting and/or Financial Accounting.
  • Experience in holding companies, shipbuilding, or shipping industries is preferred.
