GJC Leaders Crafting The Future at Business Planning Camp

The young leaders of Good Job Creations had a productive and insightful Business Planning Camp over the weekend. A casual and neutral environment aided in peeling away the layers of formality and tenseness for the sharing session.

It was an intense day where thoughts, ideas, concerns, goals, advice and action plans were hashed out, picked apart and discussed to work towards an aligned direction and goals.

This Business Planning Camp creates an exceptional opportunity to fortify trust within the leaders and the start towards achieving the goals together for the next Financial Year!

With a history and background that does not stand out from every other individual, how did this young leader manage to reach his current place?

It is all about grabbing onto opportunities presented to you and taking a leap of faith. Everything changed for me when I jumped aboard the wave that Will Group was riding, and it brought me to Good Job Creations in Singapore. I never once looked back.” Kimiya admitted that the move from Japan Headquarters to the then small entity in a foreign country was not an easy decision.

The experience, however, has been an eye-opener and fulfilling, even if the journey is not smooth sailing. Kimiya acknowledged that he is learning something new every day, especially when he took on a leadership role that oversees local employees.

It is about finding the right balance; what practices should I retain that has been traditional in a Japanese firm, and what new practices should I adopt. I am constantly battling to find that right balance.

Taking on the Managing Director role at such a young age meant receiving support but also needing to deal with the backlash. Some people tend not to take a young leader seriously, expressing doubt and citing inexperience while others see him as a pillar of inspiration – to challenge themselves to reach their own seemingly impossible goals.

Kimiya encourages young aspiring leaders to challenge tough situations head-on as he believes that “what does not manage to bring you down will make you stronger”.

There is No Better Way To Bring Your Team Together Than Through Cooking.

Singapore, August 7, 2019 – Team bonding activity is a great way to improve both communication and cooperation, which are incredibly crucial in ensuring the success of a consulting firm like Good Job Creations.

As such, Good Job Creations has organised a team bonding activity, in collaboration with CulinaryOn. With our theme of “Beyond the Plate”, we hope that our members walked away with not just their stomachs full, but their hearts as well.

CulinaryOn’s team bonding activity had a series of fun-filled activities, ranging from an ice-cream show to a whisk and risk dessert challenge.

All were done to promote cohesiveness and cooperation within the teams.

It was an unforgettable event, and we look forward to more of such activities in years to come.

Fun and Casual Career Workshop Collaboration with NUS JSS

Singapore, March 7, 2019 – An image of career workshop is often rigid and boring, but here at Good Job Creations’, we firmly believe that it is possible to integrate fun into a knowledge gaining event.

Good Job Creations aim to be the bridge between one’s passion and career. The purpose of the workshop was to share about Japanese firms, the working culture and using of the language. We hope that it will also help students to understand better about our services, what to expect working in a Japanese firm and going for an interview with these companies.

By incorporating interactive discussions and challenges, we believe that the participants were able to take away the aforementioned skills in a fun and inspiring way.

Good Job Creations looks forward to more of such partnerships in 2019!

Twist on Tradition at NTU Japanese Cultural Festival 2019

Singapore, February 19, 2019 – 2019 has only just started, and it has already been fulfilling with a multitude of collaborations and discoveries. In an effort to spread the love of Japanese culture, tradition and language, we were invited by NTU’s Japanese Appreciation Club to join their annual Japanese Cultural Festival. We decided to put a spin on a simple traditional Japanese game called Shiritori (a word game) in hopes to give participants a glimpse of Japanese culture and language in a fun and interactive way.

It was also a chance to meet and work with students who have yet to or are just starting to think about job opportunities and their future; it was a rare opportunity and a unique experience. We come to understand more about the doubts, concerns and also their understanding of the job-hunting process and recruitment firms in general.

Good Job Creations looks forward to more of such partnerships in 2019!

GJC First Event Collaboration with Bunka Language School

Singapore, September 24, 2018 – Good Job Creations (GJC) held its very first event collaboration with Bunka (Japanese) Language School on 22nd September. It was a two-hour event held at GJC’s office and exclusive to the students of Bunka.

The idea was to create a space for the students to use Japanese outside of their classroom. There were also opportunities to learn more about the Japanese culture and interact with Native Japanese members of GJC.

Keiichi Ito, who is the chief organiser of the event explains about the motivations behind holding regular events like this, “We understand that many of these students are very keen to meet other individuals who are very interested in the Japanese language and culture but do not have an opportunity to network or meet with said people. We aim to provide the chance for them to do so.

Good Job Creations’ holds regular events that provide opportunities to network with like-minded people.
