Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, individualised nursing care in accordance with professional, clinical and infection control standards.
- Assess, monitor and evaluate patients’ conditions, implement care plans, and support patients and families coping with advanced illness.
- Manage complex patient care using sound clinical judgement and evidence-based nursing practice.
- Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and wound management.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and caregivers; assess home care needs and equipment requirements.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
- Mentor junior staff and support professional development.
- Stay updated with clinical guidelines and contribute to a safe, well-organised care environment.
- Diploma in Nursing from a recognised local Polytechnic and registered with the Singapore Nursing Board.
- Background or experience in Oncology, Palliative Care, Gerontology, Geriatrics, or inpatient bedside nursing care.
- Post-registration experience in a hospital or hospice setting is an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of IT systems and clinical documentation platforms.
- Strong commitment to patient-centred care and service excellence.
- Meticulous, organised and detail-oriented.
- Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
- Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and perform under pressure.
