Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and carriers across sea, air, and land transportation modes.
- Negotiate freight rates and service agreements while benchmarking market pricing to maintain cost competitiveness.
- Monitor shipments from origin to destination and resolve delays, discrepancies, or operational issues promptly.
- Lead carrier selection activities by evaluating cost, transit time, reliability, and compliance standards.
- Maintain and periodically review the approved carrier database to support operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements, and Incoterms 2020.
- Coordinate investigations and resolution of cargo insurance claims with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as the primary operational contact for internal sales affiliates, managing order processing and fulfilment activities.
- Monitor sales orders and purchase orders, identify demand trends, and escalate potential supply constraints.
- Maintain accurate operational records and prepare reports on order status, shipment progress, and outstanding issues.
- Collaborate with affiliates to resolve purchase order discrepancies and ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Perform additional duties and projects assigned by management.
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in freight operations, logistics coordination, supply chain, or trade operations.
- Working knowledge of marine cargo insurance and claims handling.
- Familiarity with Incoterms 2020.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with SAP HANA or SAP Business One is an added advantage.
- Ability to travel occasionally for overseas business trips.
