Responsibilities
- Assist in translating engineering and product requirements into practical mechanical design concepts.
- Develop 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Support design analysis and simulations, including structural, thermal, and vibration assessments.
- Evaluate and select suitable materials and components based on performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Design and support tooling, jigs, and fixtures for assembly and testing processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and process engineering teams to ensure effective design implementation.
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to quality standards, safety requirements, and environmental regulations.
- Internship, academic project experience, or practical exposure to mechanical design is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Pro-E, or AutoCAD.
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to support mechanical design development and engineering documentation.
- Exposure to design analysis or simulation tools is an added advantage.
