Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute event growth strategies, business plans, and annual budgets.
- Manage overall event P&L and ensure revenue and profitability targets are achieved.
- Drive exhibitor, sponsorship, and partnership revenue growth.
- Develop brand, sales, and marketing strategies to increase market relevance and attendance.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
- Plan event floor layouts with internal teams to optimise exhibitor and visitor experience.
- Identify and implement new revenue streams and brand extension opportunities.
- Lead, coach, develop, and manage event and sales teams to achieve business objectives.
- Set performance goals, conduct appraisals, and support staff training and development.
- Collaborate with operations, marketing, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery.
- Build and maintain relationships with exhibitors, industry partners, media, suppliers, and associations.
- Manage exhibitor rebook campaigns and oversee CRM database accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor sales performance and support complex commercial negotiations and sponsorship opportunities.
- Represent events at industry functions, competitor events, and media engagements when required.
- Previous experience as an Event Director, Senior Event Manager, or similar leadership role within the exhibitions or events industry.
- Proficiency in Japanese to communicate with Japanese speaking counterparts
- Proven experience managing large-scale trade exhibitions or events.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and P&L performance.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets.
- Strong leadership, team management, coaching, and staff development skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience developing and executing sales, marketing, and business growth strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market and competitor trends.
- Collaborative, results-driven, and proactive approach to work.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce CRM or similar CRM systems.
