Aftermarket Sales Manager (Power Generation)

Job Summary:
Drive service sales growth in the energy sector by leading strategic sales initiatives, building strong client relationships, and expanding service business opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead sales activities to achieve annual targets by identifying, developing, quoting, and closing opportunities in a timely manner
  • Analyze market trends and sales patterns to strengthen pipeline health and forecasting accuracy
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to convert opportunities into orders
  • Identify and develop new service opportunities with existing and prospective customers
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Proposal Team to prepare competitive and value-driven proposals
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support business growth
  • Communicate customer requirements clearly to internal teams to ensure alignment and delivery
  • Provide regular sales updates to stakeholders on performance, strategy, and progress
  • Support service business operations, including audits, process improvements, and cross-team collaboration
  • Ensure timely issuance of purchase orders to vendors and invoicing to customers
  • Work closely with customers to minimize late payments and support cash flow
  • Support project and service execution in collaboration with project teams
  • Contribute to service strategy discussions, business expansion initiatives, and implementation of improvement actions
  • Prepare lessons learned and win/loss analyses to enhance future performance
  • Support marketing initiatives and campaigns to promote service products and solutions
  • Research and report on competitor technology trends within the power and energy market
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of progressive experience, preferably within the energy industry
  • Strong knowledge of projects, parts, services, and maintenance business for steam turbines, generators, and boilers
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively engage customers and develop opportunities from early stages
  • Proven experience leading complex sales discussions and closing deals
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams across disciplines
  • Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies that convert opportunities into confirmed orders
  • Good awareness of current market and technology trends in the power and energy sector
