Logistics Automation Consultant (Warehouse Automation & Development)

Responsibilities: 

• Logistics Automation Consultation
  • Discover new automation technology (S/W, H/W) and keep abreast of the latest automation market trends by develop the relevant strategies
  • Conduct operational simulation to strengthen the capacity by adopting the optimal automation solutions to customers
• Planning, Purchasing and Implementation Management
  • Propose the right Logistics Automation Solution that comply with customers’ requirements, aim to fulfill quality goals, service standards and inventory accuracy.
  • Provide consultation, prepare proposal, conduct feasibility testing/ pilot run (operational simulation) considering the latest automation technology for warehouse setup
  • Assess the technical specifications, source the supplier and purchase the warehouse automated equipment that fulfil the requirements
  • Work closely with Logistics Systems Integration Engineer to build the automation technology database to track capacities, costs and system connectivity
  • Plan, execute and monitor by keeping track the entire implementation project timeline, cost and resources
  • Conduct user training to key users
  • Monitor and report the operational status including work efficiency, ROI analysis, productivity to management
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders i.e external suppliers/ technology consultants/ equipment suppliers

 
Requirements:

• Min 5+ years of related working experience in Global Logistics Company
• Work experience in Global Freight Forwarding with experience in setting up automation solutions in in a logistics environment and relevant role (design warehouse automation equipment such as ASRS, AGV, DPS, DAS, etc. and setup warehouse)
• Deep understanding of Global Logistics Automation, WMS/WCS
• Good in warehouse automation layout design by using tools such as Autocad, Sketchup, CAD
• Experience in developing and applying New technology for Logistics Automation
